Welcome to the second edition of The Month in Type. How quickly a month passes! Last month’s was very well received. Many thanks for your comments and feedback. ↑ It’s been a while since Mark Simonson released some new types. Almost seven years, in fact – with the release of Bookmania in 2011. And now two release at once: First Acme Gothic available in 5 weights and widths for a total of 25 fonts; and Parkside a new script inspired by lettering of the 1930s and ’40s. It’s available in six weights. I’m especially fond of the hairline.
